I replaced the valve cover gaskets a few weekends ago. Now everything is nice and oil free except my oil filler cap has oil on top of it.

How in the hell is oil getting there? All I can think is that the cap could have some small holes and the oil is leaking through to the surface.

Has anyone seen this? I am open to ideas for where this is coming from.

My valve covers are still clean
