4wd 4Runner to 2wd pickup

I have a 94 2wd pickup 2.4 four with column shift, I also have a 93 4Runner 3.0 6 parts truck, my original idea was a pre-runner conversion on the pickup, but later found out the front gear is not compatible (I needed a 2wd 4runner, duh). Anyway, what is the feasibility of putting the 4runner tranny in the pickup, the pickup tranny is beginning to show it's 250k mileage and the 4runner only had 138k on it.

wait, exactly what did you wanna do? With a little welding and a lot of wiring, the 3.0 could be fit into the pickup. Just need to change your motor mounts.. As for wiring and the other mechanical systems, thats a little more in depth. You can only use the transmission out of the 4runner if its a manual, which would require your truck to be converted as well. Even this would require a sort of rare bell housing to make it all work.

The engine is suppose to bad in the Runner, I wanted to put the Runner Tranny in the 2WD pickup. Both are automatics though the pickup is a column shift. I want to change the column shift to a floor shift and was needing some guidance.

I am pretty sure the two auto's aren't interchangable, but stand by for some expert opinion...

Won't surprise me, everything else I've tried is just enough different that it will "almost" work but requires something else to make it work right which requires something else to make that work right, etc, etc....
