Which would you trust to do routine (i.e. 30k, 45k, 60k etc.) maintenance on your truck:
-Independent local shop
-National chain (Goodyear, Tires Plus, etc.)
-Stealership
I know this is very subjective, just looking for opinions, that's all.

Personally....I LOVE my stealer. They are honest, they do awesome work and most of the time they will give me free estimates of something that is wrong, if they find it while doing a checkup or service and they will actually bring me out to the shop and show me whats wrong with it.
Another thing is that some local shops don't always use Toyota parts...like for oil filters and fuel filters and plugs and stuff they may just use what they keep in stock. That is one reason I USUALLY take my rig to the dealer because I know that they use ALL Toyota stuff.
But I think it will all depend on the overall quality and customer service factor when having ANYTHING done on a truck that you love. And yeah you have to factor in the price difference, but the way I think about it is that if you spend 50 bucks at a independant place and then after 300 miles have the same problem happen again and take it BACK it to the independant shop...if you have just spent that extra 50 bucks at the dealer doing it the first time you wouldn't have that problem again...as long as they did it right. And plus, you KNOW that they used 110% Yota parts.
So...I think you understand what I'm sayin. For minor things I'm not sure it matters as much but if you are getting anything done where new parts are needed...stealer all the way man.
Just my $.02, looks like it should be worth more than that but hey!

I think it all depends on past experiences...I've never had a problem with my local stealer. For that matter, I've never had a problem with my local independant mechanic either so...I think its more of a personal preferance and a financial situation.
