Does anybody have a list of all currently produced manual transmission vehicles?
I've been trying to find a nice chart but can't find one. I'm not only talking about Toyotas (although I want that list too) but all vehicles currently manufactured with manual trans. Thanks in advance for any help!

 

hmm, thats a good list to have, but I am not aware of any such thing. Why don't you be the first to make one...

Anyone else notice the FJ's mpg with the 6speed stick is WORSE than the 5speed Auto?! I guess they're just assuming the person who buys the 6sp is going to do some offroading in their lifetime

 

The M/T FJ has shorter gears (3.9 vs. 3.7 diffs) and higher revs in top gear than the A/T.

 

so does my 1996 5speed compared to the 1996 auto, and they are rated the same mpg (not sure if the autos had 4.10s or 4.30s standard, probably the latter)...

as for: This would explain the above... autos were getting a higher ratio in 1996-02 (if they did get the 4.30s standard). now, not so much (mileage consciousness involved much? )

well if Ford, Dodge, or chevy offered a manual tranny in their 1/2 tons maybe we wouldnt be in the high dollar oil price range...i see more 1/2 ton 4wd trucks on the roads than anything...wussy @$$ people dont wanna drive a manual to save some damn gas.....

 

autos had a higher gear in the rear, 4.30 standard, and the manual had 4.10. The auto had lower revs on the highway even with higher gears in the rear end. Reason being the A340(f?) has a really tall overdrive, whereas the r150f has a short overdrive. In the 3rd gen trucks, the autos were like 500 or more RPMs lower on the highway than the manuals...
