Rockstomper IFS Travel Kit

Why does this kit: http://www.rockstomper.com/catalog/suspen/ifskit.htm require a 4" lift to be used?

It was designed around a 4" IFS bracket lift, you can't use it without the lift.

What about a 3" lift? Is this enough?

Hey Shane, I was reading your modifications list and was thinking, wow... he's got a high pinion electric locker up front.... then I thought... wait a minute... he said something about 25mm torsion bars... And then I realized I was reading your "future" modifications.. haha... guess I need to pay a little more attention.

Here's what I got back:

> Would this work with a 3" suspension lift on a 91 Pickup?

The IFS travel kit works with 4" bracket lifts only; it will not work
with any 3" kit that we're aware of.

Ya, and that list is just a little out of date too...

From the looks of the picture, it makes a huge difference. If I had a 4" lift instead of my Rancho 3" lift, I would DEFINATELY buy the kit.

at 4wheel parts... a lift for the IFS alone for a tacoma is $1500 . they say they have a procomp for the 86-95 but it doesnt list a price. im assuming its similar.

dang for that price do a freaking sas. i know its several hundred dollars more... but i think its worth it. get a 3" extra lift ... or get a CRAP LOAD more travel with an SAS?

if my truck didnt come with an ifs lift, i woulda shelled out the dough for a SAS
