sounds like warped rotors but if you just replaced them then i dont know. did you get the rotors turned or did you buy brand new ones? make sure you have everything tight.

Even new rotors can be warped right out of the box. I've seen this several times. Same thing with rotors that have supposedly been cut/turned. Some placed don't cut them deep enough and leave them warped.

Also if you don't torque your lug nuts down evenly and to the correct spec you can cause warping and that wobbling feeling you talking about.

well does it wobble at high speeds when brakeing kinda hard, or just low speeds? as far as checking if they are warped they would have to be put un a lathe and measured with a dial indacator. but to me it sounds like they are warped from what you are explaining

could also be bad and uneven tires. A buddy of mine back in the day had jacked up tires on his p/u and at low stopping speeds the truck shook. when fixed let us know! good luck and always keep truck aligned

peace

Best way to diagnose is with a runout gauge. Simply put, you clamp the gauge to a stationary part of the vehicle and apply the gauge's feeler against the disc, then turn the disc and watch the deflection on the gauge. It will show you far better if the disc is warped than trying to 'eyeball' it.

Sorry for the resurrection of old thread but I am trying to use this fancy search feature.

I am getting the same vibration wobble and I just replaced the rotors. I got them from O'reilly so I was wondering if it was b/c I didn't do OEM.

What is the torque spec on the lugnuts. I may have made a newb mistake. I tightened them down in the even star pattern then used the impact in same pattern. I didn't use my torque wrench.
