Anyone ever put a 5spd trans from a 3.4 on a 3.0?
Has anyone here installed a 5 speed trans from a 3.4 motor onto a 3.0 motor?
The guy I talked to at Marlin Crawler wasn't sure and he said I "might" have an issue with the throwout bearing and clutch fork so make sure to use the TOB and CF from the 3.4 trans and he ended the conversation with a resounding "we're not sure though"
I also was thinking of using a clutch and flywheel from a 3.4 on my 3.0....is this possible?
Yes I've searched and searched here and several other boards and have NOT found any relevant info other than both trannys use the same "large 9 bolt pattern"
I DON'T want to buy the wrong thing.
I have an 1989 3.0 5-speed and the trans and dual t-cases I'm wanting to buy are from a 1996 T100 3.4 5-speed.
Thanks

Toyota used the R150F from 88~05. I'm sure some of the electronics and plugs on these trans changed some over the years. I know the input shaft length changed. Anyways maybe you can find some answers here if you don't have them already.
