Pinion seal fixed but still leaks HELP!

So i had a pinion seal leak and just changed it out and its still leaking. not as much but still leaks. Before it leaked pretty bad to where it sprayed everywhere under my truck. Any suggestions on why its still leaking??!!??!

My first and only guess is:

Your breather is plugged up. That may have been the problem all along, it's pretty common. Take it off and clean it.

forgot to mention that. I did clean the breather. that was the first thing i did before i changed out the pinion seal. SOMEBODY HELP!!

Was the pinion yoke worn like this one? (Not Toyota yoke)



The other thing I was thinking was the spring could have popped out of lip of the seal.

im not sure about the pinion yoke. Could a worn pinion yoke cause my rear end to leak even with a new pinion seal? and what do you mean by pinion seal spring?

I had that issue and it was because the seal I had first purchased was a cheapy seal open back side where you could see a spring that would provide tension on the rubber boot to create a seal. It did not work out so well, so I got a better one and it fixed it.
