Exclamation good trade? bad trade?

I know this is tech but i couldn't figure out where to post this... uber newb... basically i have a chance to trade my 1976 cj5 with brand new 304v8.... its got brand new pro comp tires and everything under the hood has been replaced. i might trade it for an 81 toyota sr5 with the 22r engine. 4x4 new exhaust 4.5 inch lift and roll bar... its got 120000 miles on the toyota engine and 7000 on the jeep. good idea to trade? now don't be biased about the yota, i want a serious opinion. I want to do more off roading muddings my favorite but i'd like to hit moab some day.... im also very very poor.... thanks for the help!

Well if you say mudding is your Fav keep the CJ in favor of the V8..Unless you wanna drop a new V8 in the Yota..

81's didnt come with 22r's it should be a 20R stock unless it was swapped at some point..

Its all up to you, If you like the yota do it, If you like your jeep keep it.

Also this should probably be in the pre 84 section or buying selling advice, but whatev..
Good luck with whatever you do

Yotas are alright at mudding.. nothing special

If your poor i would definitely go for the yota, they are super cheap, i've only put a few thousand into mine (including purchase price) and i've got it locked front and rear, it can clear 36's, got a snorkel, bed bob, winch its killer off road. 120k is really low mileage for that yota, my trail rig has 234k on it and it still runs perfect

Mud is my favorite too, i mud my yota a ton, the only complaints are how light it is and how gutless it is, you can throw crap in the bed for weight. And down the road, you can swap in a bigger motor relatively cheap

As far as moab type stuff goes, the longer wheelbase will help you there if you have good flex to keep you stable.

Edit: overall, you will be trading your jeep for a gutless light assed truck. If you want to do a little work to take care of that it might be a good trade, but i see more as is value in the jeep
