Power Window going down... but not up

Right as it started raining a few days ago, I go to put my passenger window up in my '85 pickup and nothing happens... At first, I was sure it was just the motor that had quit, but it would still work when putting the window down. Window motors are quite pricey on ebay right now, so I decided to make sure this was the reason.

Since then I have checked both driver and passenger switches, taken them apart, cleaned them, and made sure all the connections were working. At the window motor connector, there is +12V and -12V, depending on whether up or down is pushed, so the circuit seems to be working. However, when I run a pair of jumper cables directly to the motor from the battery, it works in both directions... I also picked up another used motor from the YotaYard and it did the same thing.

Could it be that both of these motors are worn out and need a lot more current to get them working that the circuit provides, or is something else going on?

Power windows are only nice if they are working...

Thanks for any help!

don't know if you fixed that yet, but same thing happened to mine. 20+ years of up & down wears on those contacts. if up or down side in its relaxed position is bent or sagging, and not making contact to ground, that 12 volts you read there will never pass through the motor. New passenger switch. I think about 80$, dealership.
