Engine Swap, Now No Charge?

Engine Swap, Now No Charge?
As some of you may know the engine in my 85 went on me. Since then I found a 22r and swapped over all the accessories (so it's a 22RE now
) and it's back in the truck and runs (not that well yet but that's another story) anyway ever since I put the new motor in I haven't been able to get the alternator to charge the battery. It was working fine before I swapped the motors but nothing. I've got a parts truck with a good alternator but if that's not the problem there's no since in swapping them right now. I already checked all the connections on the alternator itself and still no charge. Is there something else I should be checking?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
