Deavers or 4-link rear

Well somehow one of my rear springs has become mildly S shaped and completely de-arched. I've been planning on upgrading my rear suspension sometime because it handles like crap when compared with the total chaos front, so I figured now was a good time to do this.

My question is which do you all think would be a better setup, 62in deaver 3in lift pack with some 16in FOA shocks or should I go all out and 4-link it and run coilovers. I'm not sure on cost of either but I will be doing all the fab work so I wont have to pay for labor.

If you can fab and want to deal with the geometry of the 3 link I say go for that..deavers would be a quick(er) solution though..

In terms of performance, there is no comparison - link setups control the axle FAR better than any leaf spring setup.

Unfortunately, there is a significant cost premium, especially if you go with coilovers. Mine was about $1000, and I already had the springs.

the whole purpose of leaves is the price and simplicity. if you go that way get chevy 63's. not the deavers. they can be found at most salvage yards for $50 to $100. any 88 to 98.5 chevy 1/2 ton truck/tahoe or whatever. 3 or 4 leaves depending on 2 or 4 wd pluss the overload spring. they'll give you anywhere from 3 to 7 inches of lift depending on the hangers and shackles tou use. i love mine they ride and flex awesome but i do get a little wheellhop on the hillclimbs without the overload spring... I had about $800 into my 4 link rear setup just with coil springs and building my own control arms. add another 3 to $500 for coilovers pluss all the where do i mount this arm and where can i fit this??? its a big headache.
