Thoughts wanted on 1" body lift and 31's

I was down in So Cal for 3 months, taking care of business, and while down there I ordered a 1" bodylift from 4Crawler. Now I get home, and looking at my BEAST, I start wondering if my rig would look funny with the 1" bodylift and my 31's. My rig is stock except for the 2" coil spacers, and my soon to be installed aisin's, if the weather will give me a day of no rain.

What do you guys think?

I'm just curious as to why you want to add the body lift. Stock suspension is more than sufficient for 31's. If you lift it more, then the tires are going to look to small. Of course I'm not a fan of body lifts.

Well, in time I will be re-gearing to 4.88's and going to 33's, at least thats what I'm saving my $$$ for. The body lift is/was a b-day gift from my sis, so no out of pocket expense for me. It's wanted for just a hint of clearance, and the 1" will only lift my overall COG 'bout .025% IIRC.

I think having a 1 inch body lift will make servicing your truck a ton easier. Things like starters and headers are easier to get at. And I think that even the oil filter will be easier to get at... I'm getting a 1.5 from 4crawler soon. Primarily to clear my 3.4 but that other stuff will be nice. especially with headers.

Both of my trucks have the RB 1" body lift.Easy for me to remove the bell housing bolts, lots of room for cleaning up of underneath the truck, removal of oil filter and doesnt require a lot of changes only need to cut out the shifter plate, front bumper bracket that you can do own your own.

Check out Roger at 4 crawler for the BJ lift, diff drop and rear shackle lift.I spent less than $300 to easily fit 33x 12.5tires on 10" rims before I SASed my truck.

31" tires will fit easily stock.

I put a 1" body lift on all my older Toyotas for underside clearance for working on everything.

It also gets sliders more centered on the frame.

My rig is stock on 31's, so I know they clear, I also that had in mind 'bout the ease of working underneath. Thanks for the pics 94runner4x4, help me to picture my rig with the lift. Thanks Wabbit and every1 for your thoughts and comments.

Still, it doesn't look bad on your rig. Looking at yours and 94runners rigs, my BEAST will look good with the 1" bl. Now I just need it to get here. I wanna wrench on my rig. I'll be doing my manual hub swap at the same time. Thanks Abe.

I hate to tell you this, but if you've been lying to yourself 'bout the size of your tires....!____! isn't 6 inches.......

I actually think the running boards on mine help the look- make the body look flush with the underside of the frame, but it would look higher without them.

And at least I was only off an inch- you thought it was even bigger.
