1999 4Runner Guage Cluster/AC/Gear Shift bulb sizes?
I want to change out my stock green/yellow-ish bulbs behind my gauges, behind the A/C controls, under the gear shift, and the ignition ring but don't know what size bulbs they are. Anyone know what size they are?
I have heard Size 194 for the guages, and 74 or 24 for all the others, but with some of the bulbs at around 3 bucks a pop I don't want to blindly buy them. Also the number of bulbs needed to change them out would help alot.

t4r.org just recently covered this. I will try to find the link but it is in the 3rd gen section.
I recently replaced the ones behind the rear defrost and the rear window up/down-not the switch lights but the backlighting. Driving at night I had no indication of any switches being there without the back lights.
One is a tall with a green condom on it. The other one is shorter with a green condom on it. Both fit into the switch bar that can be popped out of the radio bezel (surround)
I can supply the part numbers and it does pay to shop Yota dealers to find them. Here in Denver they were 6.04 each and trdparts4u.com had them at 2.47 each.
Stay in touch if you need more help. Some folks are now using LEDs for replacements but beware of voltage differences.
Do your homework extensively and test your bulbs in your vehicle before you go replacing all the console pieces and have to take them all out again. They are so dim you need a nighttime viewing to be certain they are all functional.
