My girlfriend went to her parents for this weekend, and finally it was a perfect opportunity for me to install new Toyota tube steps and new tires, which are Bridgestone Duelers Revo 265/75/R16. Here is the pic:

The tube step looks like the Xterra one someone fitted on their 3rd gen. Didn't know Toyota had one like that for the 4Runner itself.

 

That would be Bob98SR5 you are referring to. Those are some nice looking tube steps.

 

Toyota tube steps look very similar to Xterra steps, but since they're designed specifically for 4Runner, they fit and mount very easy. No drilling or molding required, just 8 bolts per side and that's it!

Silly Question::: So you took off the old step side runner? or did you not have those at all? or are you leaving those intact if ever you get a brain tumor and want to sell your 4Runner?

 

I had running boards before, but with so much chrome it was a little too much of "bling bling" for me:



(note that on this picture I didn't have any lift at all, so maybe that's why I didn't really like running boards to begin with).

What kind of mudflaps did you put on the front??? Are those Toyota?

 

Correct, those are Toyota mud flaps. I asked the dealer to get me the ones which would normally come with SR5 with small fender flares, like on mine. The guy at the register knew exactly which ones to get. These mud flaps are a perfect fit too, since they mount to existing fender flares screws.
