SR5 rear belts swap into Non-SR5 Runner?

Basically, title says it all. I need new seatbelts in the back and after searching around, can't find the answers so I'm posting. Found some belts out of an SR5 same year as mine, except mine's not SR5, will they swap, or am I boned? thanks in advance for the help.

Mine's a non-sr5 1988 runner, the belts are listed as 4Runner SR5 for 84-89. Thanks

Howdy neighbor, I'm in Arlington too!!

Arlington eh? I heard about them folks, they are sketchy! What part of Arlington?

As for the belts, the mounts are already there in the truck. You might have to switch the interior trim panels to allow for the belts, since it sounds like yours didn't come with belts. Also, where are you getting the belts from? If they are factory SR5 belts from a 4Runner, you are good to go. If they are aftermarket "Dealer install" belts, you are going to run into problems.

I assume your 4Runner didn't come with rear belts? And if so, didn't have a rear seat? (or you had some kind of aftermarket belts in there?)

If you are close enough to me (NW Corner of the Airport, just off Cemetary RD) you could swing by my place and I can take a look at what you have, and show you how I did mine. My truck was originally a Non-SR5 with those stupid non-oem belts installed and I have since converted the interior to SR5.

Yeah, we're pretty close; I'm down the 530, just past Trafton store a ways. Heck, my work is just minutes from you (Islands Bakery, I'm a driver)
Mine did come with belts, it's just missing parts and it'd probably cost me about as much for parts as it would to buy another set probably. I'm really only missing two male connections back there I think, pretty sure everything else is there. I have one complete belt back there, then two are missing pieces, haha. (I used to work for a particular parts yard and we used to charge out the wang). Anyhow, here's a pic of what I'm lookin at, hopefully it helps....and the pic shows, haha

The pic is of a factory set of belts. Those look good!

They will fit in your truck no problem, again, assuming you had factory belts to start with (I think 88 did) There will be a pocket on each quarter trim interior panel for the buckle to recess into.

Nope, it's gray. The whole rig is probably going to end up flat, rattle can black....I really don't care for the red, especially the top.

Aw ruining good paint with rattle can flat black?

I hate rattle can paint jobs, especially on clean rigs. Its one thing if the paint is major trashed, but decent paint still looks good. Flat black looks cheap and redneck lol

wellllll....good paint is one thing....red that has three to four different shades is another. My paint MIGHT look good in a picture or from forty feet.....but that's about it. I call it my fifty-foot rig...looks great....at fifty feet...
