Sammi = Suzuki Samuri - also know as a "zuk" (pronounced zook)

I figured that might be the case, but why the heck a suzuki when you could own a Toyota? Just wondering what's so good about them?

I found myself wondering about this post.

I don't think that any regulars who post here have trail only trucks, maybe only half have a locker.

If you are genuinely interested, I would try ODW or PBB. I know PBB at least has a forum just for tow rigs and the like.

That is why we own Toyotas. You can drive it to the trail, run the trail, and drive home.

Having a trail only rig has it drawbacks, especially if your rig is not street legal. Many trails go from point A to point B, not a loop. However, if'n you break it is nice to have the tow rig to get home. Two weeks ago it took 2 days to tow a disabled Jeep 9.5 miles on the Dusy/Ershim trail. Fortunately he had a tow rig so we just had to get the Jeep to pavement.

that is why i drive a toyota, but im 17 and have a combined payment of insurance and actuall car payment on my 98 taco of 510 bucks, and i dont get stuff handed to me......

so i have to build a trail rig on the cheap, and i have to tow it there cause insurance already kills me as it is, thats the only reason i dont just build one that i can take to the trail and back home, and im sure that i dont want to wheel the taco!

You are 17 and making a trail only truck because money is tight?

Wow, that is not the sort of linear thinking that I could make.

money isnt tight, its scarce, and used by other things, ive been working sense i was 12 down at me ma and pops resturant. its not like im makin a world class rockcrawler, but its going to be a capable trail rig, i found a couple leads over in seattle..... ROAD TRIP SUCKA! but i can get a REALLY good deal on a yota with a solid axle over there from some friends relatives, so i may have to do that!

I don't have a pic but there's one floating around somewhere from the Pismo trip in August where one of the guys was towed into the group photo shot by a Sammi.

Sorry, whoever it was
It could just have easily been me - I got stuck in that same exact spot twice the night before

Mine is a trail only. I will build a street legal rig again in the future though as trailering everywhere sucks!
