First off, Hello from Mo. I've let a buddy talk me into build a mud truck, with the promise off help and tech ablility ( yeah i've heard that before)
What i want is something lite that doesn't require a 1ton duelly to trailer. I'm thinking Toyota of course.
I want a V8 Yota. I've found an 80 that can be had for a song (if only i could sing). What i'm thinking is 350,Th350, and NP205. Basically i'd be using the cab and frame and maybe the axles.
Here's a few questions. 1. Is the 350,Th350,Np205 swap feasable, possible?
2. What would be a good donor truck to look at for the motor/tranny combo?
3. Will the stock axles hold up to a 350. I'm talking mild, not wild.
I'm looking for all ideas and suggestions (especially from you V8 Toyota club members)
