get 31" M/Ts so your rig won't be totally useless....although you may get yourself even further into trouble and the tow out will be that much longer.

I hated my BFG all terrains, lasted 1yr and 20k miles, yeah I needed an alignment, but it wasnt that bad!! I think I may have just got a bad set or something, cause everyone else likes them!!

I would go for some mud terrains, if you know for sure that you are getting a 4wd! but if not, then go with an allterrain!

Firestone Destinations are buy 3 get 1 free right now. I run the Destination ATs on my Xterra and have driven through snow & Ice in Northern AZ and they handle very well. Also handle very well in the Wet compared to the BFG Rugged Trails that came with her OEM. The Destination MT is also a very well wearing and rugged MT tire, quite a few of the Xterra offroad community here in AZ run those and Firestone Dealers are always open to offering discounts to clubs etc. Plus you can often work in a deal on Tires and the Lifetime alignment together.

My brother also has the Destinations and loves them. He does a lot of highway driving and they are quiet and after 10k miles still look brand new.

MTs or ATs? They're different tires.

BFG AT's are pretty good tires. If not then no one would run them. That and if you blow one out you can easily find a replacement.

I recommend Kelly Safari's. Great tire. had them on my 94 4Runner for 2 years and they where perfect for street/highway and minor trail use.
