sexasomniac's 1995 4Runner Build-Up Thread

Hey guys, thought I would make a build thread as I'm starting to make some progress with my 4runner.

Mods:

Wheels & Tires:
15x8 Rockcrawler wheels
31x10.50 Wildcat LT A/T
Rancho RS5000 shocks

Suspension:
San Diego Off-Road 2" coil spacers
T-bar crank 1"
(resulted in rear being 3/4" higher - I prefer the rake)
Stock bump stops shortened
Front sway bar removed

Exterior:
Removed front valance
Removed rear bumper & hitch
Hella 500FF lights

Interior:
Strapped down spare

Near future mods:
Rear locker & manual hubs
Low profile bump stops
Front truss (still deciding)
Front lower skid plate
Panhard rod drop bracket
Tires
Front bumper (possibly winch)

Not so near future mods:
Roof rack & lights
Beadlocks
Sliders & rear bumper
Hitch mounted spare
Maybe attempt a homemade snorkel
More lift, bigger tires and regear

Really far away future mods:
SAS!!!!!

Last but not least, what we all came here for: BEER.... oh, wait, pictures!!!!!

LSPV bracket (3")

Still need panhard rod drop bracket & showing off new shocks again

New lights (put on today)

Overall

One more with my brothers 'yota

And the piece of that made me stumble upon my 4runner

Panhard looks OK to me ... 1.5" of that 2" spacer probably just eliminated the sag!

It's still at a slight angle, my axle is probably AT MOST 1/2" to the right. I've heard it's better if the panhard rod is completely horizontal, no?

It was never completely horizontal on mine.

How sure are you about that 1/2" measurement?

Now that I think about it, not so sure anymore. After I put in the spacers they weren't even but now it's settled, they're even. The drivers side was actually 1" higher and the axle was noticably pushed to the passenger side a bit. Now that things have settled, it seemed to me that the panhard rod being moved back that 1/2" would also level my ride but now that it leveled, I'm not too worried about it. So should I not worry about the panhard rod drop or what? I don't plan on lifting it much more, atleast not for quite some time.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you find the driveshaft hitting the gastank when flexed out.

Wanted to add a few things:

Took off the rear hub covers, getting WARN manual hubs next
Bought a panhard rod drop bracket from 4crawler
Strapped down spare in rear with a plastic box holding my goodies

Near future mods:
Front bumper or BFG A/T, can't decide between 31 or 33x10.50
Rear locker
Some kind of seal inbetween my tailgate since this was hit in the rear
Hack up exhaust a bit

If you 'wheel, 33x10.50 any day. Especially if you're planning on doing lockers later... (regear at the same time)

Why WARN? I only ask because the factory AISIN (spelling?) hubs are pretty darn tough and can probably be bought used a lot cheaper.

My neighbor can get good prices on anything WARN. Plus I like the blingin' gold; haha.

I keep thinking of 33x10.50, might do a 1" body lift with that though.
