87 22rte NO start after rebuild!

I just finished an HG replacement that ended up being a total head rebuild and timing component replacement. After getting it all sealed up I've been having starting issues. I got the timing down, I've got good compression, good spark with popper gap, new gas in the tank, good fuel pressure and I have fuel at the cold start injector. But I am NOT getting fuel in the combustion chamber.

I pulled the plugs after some serious cranking and the plugs as well as cylinders were bone dry. I sprayed some starting fluid through a vacuum port into the manifold, and after some short cranking she immediately caught but died as soon as it consumed the fluid.

What should I check that could be causing the injectors to not fire? The truck WAS an automatic and has been changed to a manual. Other than that, the engine/electronics are stock.

Haha, I ts all good. I should have included a cliff's notes version!

From my investigation, EVERYTHING is working except for the injectors. Either the injectors themselves are bad, or I have messed up some part of the wiring.

I mean, what sensors, safety checks etc could cause the injectors to not fire but allow the engine to crank?

How long was the truck sitting during rebuild? I rebuilt a 22rte and then it wouldn't start and i sprayed a little starting fluid down it and it did the same thing. It turned out my injectors weren't spraying for some reason. I replaced them and it fired right up.

Was this problem resolved? And was it new injectors or grounds?
