2RZ Exhaust Manifold Question

I have a 1996 Tacoma with a 2RZ and I have a cracked manifold. Its been like that since I bought it in June andits burned my exhaust valves so I burn oil. It's really funny the stupid guy rebuilt the whole engine 10k before I bought it, costing him like 8 grand I think (thats way too much to put into a truck that was 13k new, IMHO) and I'm sure thats why he sold it. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess. But yeah my question was about the mini header I've read about on this thread.

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/o...52/index2.html

I know thats for the 3RZ but I wanted to know if it would go onto the 2RZ. Is it a bolt on fix if so? Is it a part I go to the dealership for or a wrecking yard?

I want to get a LC Engineering full header but I mow lawns and for obvious reasons I don't have an income right now so I can't afford it. That and the bolts that I'd have to take off on the cat are so rusted I'm afraid to take them off lol.

If the mini header doesn't work, how long can I expect a normal exhaust manifold to last? I only really need the truck to get me until I leave on my mission a year from June so I'm really tempted to just do that.

Thanks for your help!

I dont know if they will fit, but did they still make the 2rz's in '00 and up? cause thats what the mini header upgrade is about, getting the newer style manifold thats less prone to cracking...

Incorrect. they were available from 95-04. the 2rz and 3rz use the exact same manifold. That swap will indeed work

the 2rz was available until '04?
I didn't know that! I thought it got replaced by the 2.7L after '97 or so. Thanks for clearing it up

Ok then. So I looked at the website deathcougar talked about in the other thread, this one:

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...&siteid=214074

I guess any of those are the same thing? And for gaskets would I go to the dealer or a parts store?

Thanks so much for your help!
