I am planning on going to King of the hammers with a few friends and was wondering if anyone else from the socal area would like to join us or is already going to be there? let me know and hope to see you there.

 

Ok so Im dumb and just realized the 27th is a friday and I wont be able to take that time off work. So we will be going out on the 28th and not spectating the race I guess this means more play time. If anyone would like to join us let me know we can figure out where to meet.

 

can you spectate that race? i thought that wasnt allowed do to insurance?

 

I have the DVD from last years race and there are people all over the rocks on the side of the course watching and helping the drivers. its an open desert race I dont see how they could stop you. The KOH web site lists the date and doesnt say anything about that.

 

Dudes, I'm thinking of going. What's the where you have in mind to meet?

As for access, this desert stuff is a free-for-all. There's no way to block spectators unless it's on private land. The trick will be to find a spot to catch some high-speed stuff AND the crawly-trail activity.

the actual date of the race is the 27th.
however I am unable to attend. so if you want to leave this up for people who want to go to the race on friday the 27th you may want to change the date back.
This just keeps getting worse for me.
I spoke with a good friend of mine who was supposed to go with us on the
28th and it turns out he's moving that weekend. Which leaves me obligated to help since he helped me move last time.

So now it looks like we will be planning a trip for the weekend after, I will let you guys know when we do deceide to go if anyone is interested.

ok so the official word is saturday we will be at the carls jr off of bear valley road and the 15n about 8 am for anyone who is interested in tagging along so far we have 5 trucks going
