squeeky clutch

my truck makes a pretty loud squeaking creaking noice when i push in the clutch. doesnt matter if the truck is on or off and it doesnt make any other noses. to me it seems like its coming from the passenger side where the slave cyl is but i dont have anyone to push the clutch in while im under the truck to find it. anyone know what this could be before i go trouble shooting?

Have a look at it, then. See if it's leaking fluid. Usually a good indicator if it's bad. Or, try putting some grease on the actuating piston and release fork seat.

I tracked mine down to the torsion spring on the pedal assembly. I tried lubing it with spray lube, but it only lasted a day..

that's the same squeek I have, haven't been able to get rid of it yet.

to the OP, try sticking your head down in the foot well and pushing on the pedal with your hand to make sure this isn't your noise

If its the pedal assembly you need some heavy grease to put on there. The kind of stuff you'd put in a grease gun, I can't remember which kind I used. As long as its thick it'll keep it from squeaking.

i looked at it today some and it seems like it is coming from either the pedal assembly or the clutch master cyl. i rebuilt the master early this year because it was leaking but i have had no issues with it since. so i think i will try greasing the spring first and see if that stops it because its really freaking annoying.

Squeakers are so annoying....

My clutch pedal's been doing it lately with the cold. Just needs some grease, I know, but I've been ignoring it.
