Where to start ?

Ok I just went from Cincinnati to Colorado to buy my first Toyota (1989 SR5 4x4) Well while driving back somewhere in Missouri I got into an accident. Sucks because I had all the plans for the truck ofcourse those plans depended on the truck not having damage.... Anyways my question is where should i start ( please see pics) on repairing front end. I mean aside from the obvious ie front bumper, inner and outer fender, light assembly etc.. what is the front support below but in front of the radiator behind the lower valance called. Damn this sucks! Are there any good front end swaps that are direct bolt ons that i should look into while im collecting parts to do the job. Thanks
Ryan

Are you sure the inner fender is bent? Damage doesn't look that bad - the second gens are pretty strong, I would be VERY surprised to see this result in structural damage.

I see no reason to replace the stock bumper - go aftermarket and get some real protection up there!

Thanks Tc.
I believe the inner fender is bent cause when i pop the hood and look at fender from the engine bay i can see creases and things are out of place. So i assume that is the inner fender. Can you tell me what the part is in the first pic behind the lower valance ( it looks like heavy steel and it is bent/broke.) Also can you reccomend a good aftermarket distributor for the parts im looking for. Im new to the Toyota scene. Thanks.

Its been so long since i ditched my stock bumper, not sure... there's just the lower valance, which is sometimes plastic, sometimes steel that bolts into the bumper.

Outer fender is easy to replace ... inner is very difficult. When you take the outer off, you can evaluate the inner better. Local junkyard is usually the best place to get this stuff.

Can someone please tell me if this is part of the frame? Its winter here so I havnt begun the repairs yet but preliminary research shows that it might be. Please help me to clarify before I start this project. Basically is it replaceable?
Thanks
Ryan

The front end behind the bumper, valence and grill is called the radiator support. It is what your headlights bolt to, the radiator bolts to it and the front frame mounts. Depending on what year your truck is, it can be one piece or four. If it is four, The top piece that goes from fender to fender is called the upper radiator support. The bottom piece that bolts to the two front frame mounts is called the lower frame support. The two side pieces that house the headlights are called the headlight windows. Looks like you bent the lower radiator support and the drivers side frame mount. The frame mount will have to be ground off and replaced. Toyota does sell them. Good luck.

That's where the frame and core support body mount are bolted together. Too bad you didn't know sooner but there is a place in Missouri that has tons of used Toyota parts and you could have got everything you needed to fix it. Its near St. Louis.

Here, They have an ad in the parts section on this forum.

Thank You for the quick responses.
That definetly puts into perspective for me. So will the drivers side frame mount need to be welded in after being grounded off? Im assuming everything else is a bolt off and on replacement...
@toyminator2000
Thank you for the site link. Ive been looking locally but cannot find anyone. They look like the perfect alternative.

Get a core support from a similar year 4runner, get the headlights, grille, corner lights, bumper and valance and bumper brackets to. I would get a 91 model year parts....go on and do a front end conversion. I have done it many times..to many vehicles. Ifyou take that route and hit any snags...let me know cuz I can help!
