how do I- I.D. a used locker without the p/n.?
there is a guy on graigslist in my area selling a slightly used detriot locker. he says it fits 1988 and newer toyota truck 4 cyl. engine. he only wants 125.00 for the unit which sounds too good to be true. I want to know if there is a way for me to identify the locker through a few measurements to confirm that it will work in my 88 4runner before I fork out the green. any help is appreciated.

I found my spool brand new never installed for $125 on CL. Sometimes, it pays to look around.
If its used, pass. You don't know what sort of condition its in. Especially since he tried to pass it off as a "detroit locker"
