I see these bilstein 5100 coilovers on toytec's site. They say they are adjustable from stock to 2.5" of lift.

I am looking to do about a 2.5" lift in the front of my truck (97 4runner sr5)

I have used the search function and tried to research these.

I am wondering who is using them on their 3rd generation 4runner and with what mods.

Also, how are they holding up, ride quality, etc...

I want to know if this is a wise purchase or not.

Toytec lists them for the 4runner, but bilstein's site does not. They are for the runner right?

Yeah I be running them....

I like them and they ride good now.. they were a bit stiff at first ( i opted for the heavy duty springs), but now they are a lot better. I am running mine cranked about .5ish inches and it is lifted roughly 2" in the air. You can easily run 2.5" of lift in the front.

 

I run them to and I love them, they ride firm but not harsh at all. They are basicly the same as the ines used in the Sonoran steel lift. I wouldnt install anything other than Bilstiens on my trucks, cars, YES they are that good!!

Is toytec a good place to do business with? They look to be about the same price everywhere.

 

talk to them and mention yotatech and you'll probably get a discount. Toytec has great customer service and have been very knowledgeable when I called them.

Toytec is local to me and they are a reliable outfit. I have visited their shop and it is professionally run.

My lift however is not from them and you can do better price wise buying parts individually.

 

I thought you were not supposed to go any higher than 2" of suspension lift in front. Otherwise the CV angle is to extreme. True?

Also, what is the purpose of a top out spacer?
