ok i have a 3.0 v6 my truck is having problems starting. it will get close but it wont stay running for longer than 10 seconds. i put my hand over it and it helped it alittle. than we just took the hole thing off and it it was the same as befor. so does this sound like it may be the maf thanks

do you think my timing may be off by a tooth. my friends working on it and he said that it ran fine but than he looked at the timing and it was off by one tooth. he fixed it and now its having problems starting back up. if we put our hand over the intake it will almost run. i have grate compression like between 180 190.

 

Your MAF is bad if:
it ran away with your sister
it kicked your dog
it stole the walker from an old person
if it defecated on your porch then covers it with flaming newspaper before ringing the bell
if it tapes fire crackers to cats tails
if it cuts the brake cables on wheelchairs.
