22RE - Stalling problem.

I have a 91 xcab pickup with a 22RE and its a 5-spd.

It drove fine for the first week I had it 50+ miles a day then yesterday it just stalled out pulling into a parking lot. Start it up and it died. Went into the store for 10 minutes or so and it started and ran fine when we came back out. Drove around for a while and it started stalling out again. Today same thing it will idle fine but once you drive a bit(2 minutes even) it starts stalling whenever you idle or coast. I changed the air filter(old one wasn't even bad) and I have a fuel filter that I plan on changing.
Anything else I need to check? Its weird since it ran fine for a week and now its stalls out after its warm.

The air filter and two tanks of gas are pretty much all I've done to it before it started stalling.

I also hear a clicking noise similar to a relay whenever I give it gas or let off the gas... sounds like its coming from the passenger footwell/dash area but that may be normal.

how's your coolant level?
how's the engine temp?
what's your idle speed when it does want to idle warm?
have you checked your plugs, wires, timing, etc.?
have any vacuum leaks?

Took the truck out today and it didn't stall on me at all. I used the lights/heater/signals etc. to try and get it to and it just bogged down to around 500 rpms at one point but never stalled.
Coolant level is good, I just swapped in a new thermostat yesterday.
It idled around 800-900 mostly. I'm going to do the seafoam thing before I change the plugs and wires. I have no idea how to check timing but the truck ran great today so not sure about that.

I tried to check all the vacuum lines and non seemed to be leaking. I found a plug on top of the intake manifold that was somewhat loose but was probably unrelated.

looks like a lot of us are having this issue lately...

i had the exact same issues going on with my truck...really low idle and stalling when coasting or coming to a stop w/COR relay clicking but ran fine when it was on the gas. I ended up turning the idle up a little bit and it seems to have resolved the issue for now. you might want to give that a try. i think my idle screw moved when i mobbed down a gravel road the day before it started happening.

It possible that the fuel pump might be going out, they can start acting up long before they go completly out.

people who tune their engine when it's cold as opposed to when it's warm?
