I know there has been a lot of chatter on upgrading an auto for a S/C 4runner. In my quest for the perfect runner, I have not seen a S/C standard transmission.
Do they exist as a factory option? Or have folks here added one later?
For me, that would be a perfect combo.

u can get 900HP out of a supra, but you'd still be running 9 sec track times. why? the supra was made well, but HEAVY. thats why a lot of track guys i know take the supra engines and fabricate them into del sols and stuff. and the skyline is indeed nissan. i wish they still made the skyline... im in the market for a cheap nissan car, and its looking like the versa.. id take the skyline over it anyday!

Superchargers were a dealer installed option so it could be added to any 3rd gen V6 but none left the factory with an SC on them.
900hp Supras ran 9s in street trim which still was a bit over 3500lbs but that's not exactly slow. Mid 10s could be done with less than 650hp at the wheels and that's with a bone stock 3.0 which alot of other engines would need a little more internal mods to even acheive that.

I've seen a few 5sp Supercharged 4Runners, so they're out there, although rare.
They still make Skylines. The regular Skylines are called Infiniti G35's here in the States. Skyline GTR's, they just came out with again. Neither are cheap, and Skylines have never been cheap.
And I'd be ecstatic if my car ran 9's.

infinity... grrr... nm. i know infinity is the same as nissan, but infinities are a PITA to work on, since they have the cover over the lug nuts, like AUDIs, plus you gotta take every plastic guard in the world off the undercarriage.
they make the skyline still? sweet. i didnt say the skyline was cheap.. lol. sorry if it came out that way. if i had a choice between a versa and a skyline, id pick the skyline.

GTR = VERY nice car but at $100,000.00 not cheap at all. Now if you live in japan you can get it for about $40,000.
I personalyl like the styling of the r34 better though, the performance on the GTR is better.
As for a supercharged 5spd, good luck finding that. Finding a supercharged truck is VERY hard perior. Finding a 5spd is hard, finding them both together would be pure luck.
BUT i would not buy a truck with the supercharger already on it EVER. Without the fuel upgrades they run SUPER lean, meaning that the engine would not be in as good of condition as if you got an NA truck and added the supercharger yourself. This is what i would do and did.

SCs up at our altitude (a mile high asl) don't really require the fuel mods and I know 5 guys with SC'd Runners with no fuel upgrades and they've been fine for years but down at sea level it is a different story. I'd still add them eventually tho' but it's not a prerequisite to having one.
