Another Catalytic converter stolen!!

Thats right my cat was stolen while I was at work today. I came out and started my 95 runner to go home and knew right away what was wrong.
Anyways not to go on about it because I know you all have heard it many times, but I was just wondering if anyone has ever caught someone in the act of trying to steal a converter?
I was just a few yards away from my car inside my work location when it happened and I would have loved to have caught the guy

i work for a company that recycles cats and we get ids and all that sorts of good stuff to deture people from stealing them. the cat prices fell with obama in the office and cat theft went way down in oregon, go figure.

Good to know that someone is making an attempt to stop this epidemic. What exactly is recycled from them?

Haha you better use a heavy duty engraver.
Did your buddies drive all the way home without the cats?
I drove mine home which is only about a 15 minute drive and I got so many people staring at me with my crazy engine that sounded like a tractor on steroids.

Platinum, Rhodium, and Pallidium.

Look up the prices on the NYSE, they are astronomical.

A few months ago, Rhodium was over $10k/ounce.

Heres what I did for a temporary fix.

Just some flex tubing and some muffler clamps from autozone
