Hey folks just wanted to ask a quick question! On my 87 toy 4runner when i put the key in the rear door to roll the window down nothing happens! Any ideas what it could be? I used it this morning and it worked fine the 5mins later nothing!

 

if it makes any difference or whatever I can here the relay click when I turn the key to roll down the window.

 

Make sure your wiper is seated all the way up in its spot. Sometimes I have to cycle my wiper once on my 84 to get it to work. Worth a try before you tear into it.

 

Hm mine did the same, i havent really got it figured out yet. Does yours go up thoe?

 

There are about 85 different safety switches and an electronic control box for the back window, I rewired mine to simplify the circuit and installed a toggle type momentary up down switch, now it works every time.

 

No my window dosent go up or anything! The switch by the shifter went bad! So I was just using the key in the rear door to get the window down! Now the key does nothing! Thanks for the reply guys! I hope we can figure this out. Cuz Im going deer hunting in the morning and if i shoot one I will have to put it on top! If so i will take a pic lol
