notice that this guys says

"less than 12K miles ago I did the following:

- Timing chain and gears.
- Water Pump
- Radiator
-..."

then he says

"ENGINE: Runs great, has about 95K on it. It has never been apart. Does not leak or burn oil."

i wonder how he managed timing chain and gears without having the engine apart

He probably means the heads havent been off, and no internal engine work has been done. Thats usually what it means by "taking it apart" Timing chain and stuff is regular maintenence and would not be considered taking the engine apart.

I have to agree with Adam F on this one. I don't consider the listed items being replaced as having the engine apart. They are routine maintenance items and would actually me feel better about the purchase. Just my .02.

That would be my guess.

Thanks. My rnr is far from where I would like to have it as far as being built is concerned. Too many other priorities speaking for my spare money for now. It's only been wheeled pretty mildly since I got it and only on some land my family owns. Lately it's been collecting dust as some other family members have torn up the farm and we're are trying to let the dust settle. I need to find somewhere new to wheel or I'll have no use for my beast.
