what kind of horns did you get? where did you get them from? my only fear of getting new horns is that they may not sound cool. i don't really want a "toot toot" sounding horn. i'd prefer something along the lines of an Oceanliner, or an 18 wheeler.

i at least need something that will go over the sound of my stereo. the other day, some lady started slowly merging into my lane. i kept honking, and she just ignored me. i actually had to drive almost completely into the shoulder, so that she wouldn't hit me. apparently, she didn't hear my horn, or she really didn't care. regardless, i'm banishing her and her family to hell.

please let us know what kind of horn you got, and what type of sound you get. i'm glad that it was only 20 bucks, and it made that much of a difference for you.

This is what I did:

I've since swapped out the tank for a larger one so I get a nice 30 second blast before dumping the tank. I've also since upgraded the air compressor since I wanted to be able to have on-board air for airing up after running on the trails. And, I'm now running at 150psi.

One of these days I have to get a soundbyte.

Corey's also running a horn setup like this, and the last I heard he was working on a 4 horn setup!

There're a couple of aftermarket write-ups in the tech section:

hehehe, nice 96...

I agree on a horn upgrade. There was nothing more embarrasing than honking at someone that cut me off with the stock horns. Those things are worthless. If someone has their stereo on, they won't even hear them. My dad had some old masarati racing horns left over from an old Jag and so I put them in and wow! I have the trumpets mounted in the tjm where the winch goes so they are right there and wow! I want to get some bigger truck trumpets to lower the "fruit" factor, but everyone will hear me comming!
