Cooper stt's worth the money?

think the coopers discover stt's are worth the extra money? or would i be better off saving a couple bucks and buying some bfg mt's?

These?

They were THE tire to have about a year ago ... haven't heard much anout them lately. Reports I read were that tread life wasn't so great.

Tread life isnt everything tho.... BTW i dont know where you are buying them at, but I did find them cheaper than the BFG's online and they look a lot more badass and grip really great. I got 33x12.5s for $156 each.

I love my stt's so far. I have only had them on for about 3 thousand miles and maybe 2 or 3 off road trips. I have no complaints so far. I have never run the bfg's so i dont have any say in which is really better. Im pretty sure the coopers are cheaper in all sizes than the bfg's though. Im running the the 31x10.50x15 and i paid 140.00 a tire. I know the bfg's are more than that.

A friend of mine had them on his ranger. He said they wore down pretty darn fast. I was gonna buy a set, but the bfg's are a great tire

re:

I ran 285x70x17s on my FJ Cruiser, and I loved them. Fantastic tire in the snow too.

I think that there is two version of this tire design that the compound was the only difference, can't remember all details as tire research was a while back.

Interesting, I read on the board that Cooper's are great tires, that they are worth the money. Also that they wear out fast, and that they wear out slow. They are good in snow. They are bad in snow. Golly make up your minds!??

I ordered a set of Cooper ST's in 31 X 10.5 15 and will get them put on tomorrow. I was a Dueler AT customer for a long time but they dropped High flotation tries so we have parted ways. The Duelers worked great for me in mud and had great highway ride/noise. I will let you know how the ST's work out.

They don't clean at all in mud, they just gum up and there you sit.. Buy 'em if you like being on the recieving end (of the tow rope) alot.. I run BFG M/T's and have been thinking about getting some Interco LTB's... BFG's clean good though..
