Interco LTB's

Found a deal on a set of lightly used Interco LTB 34x10.50 17 tires mounted to FJ cruiser stealies with ceramic bead balance installed. For $800 What do we know about the tires? I've had ssr's and loved em but fear the LTB's will have to be towed to offroad location.

I have heard that they are better also. Bias tires don't wear bad unless they warm up, if you drive short distances they should be fine.

true, they lasted me a long time and i still sold them with alot of tread on them....but i only drive 10 miles to work and it is never warm here so tires dont seem to warm up much. and if you sipe them like i did they did real well on the ice too, if that is even an issue for you.

hmm so the 150 mile commute would just plain suck and the 600 mile drive to N. GA wouldn't be much better.

you will never find a ghood tire for mud like the ltb that will last long for a drive like that!! and vise versa! and i know every one is going to say MT/R but where i am from we call those more traction required!!!

you have to evaluate where your priority is street or off road?

Well i bought some trxus mt's, now they are radials, but are still really wearing quick to what i was used to (bfg at's)

That being said, i bought these tires for offroad performance first, and they are doing their job well imo!

they will be great for that if you use regular tires for most the street driving and then use these to the trail and off road. i say go for it!!

Tread life is NOT an issue with LTB's or Boggers, I know a guy who's had the same set of boggers for nearly six years and they still have over a quarter tread, and he DD'd the truck for quite a while..

I thought so, so I've decided to pass and maybe look in to the SSR's again (God I loved those) theyd get you stuck anywhere (in 2WD)

and get you out of everywhere, well everywhere except here.

I bought my boggers used with half tread, the guy who I bought them from had them on a f150 and I asked him how they wore and he said told me that he put 7k on them and couldn't tell that they have worn.

Boggers will last you atleast five years if you don't peel out, slide around corners, or spin your tires alot, keep them rotated, balanced, and aired up and they're fine... Everyone where I live runs them and tread life is NOT an issue..

first off, tire life isn't rated in time, its rated in miles.. to say that they will last someone 5 years is bs..

boggers ware the fastest out of any tire out there..

put a set of boggers on your dd and see how many miles you get out of them..

Yeah my wifes Michelins on her explorer have lasted 5 years ... or 40K. I drive like truck driver and I"m certain while they certainly wouldn't be comfy they would wear quickly not to mention the heating characteristics I have been warned about as they get softer being bias ply. So no go. Bogger would last all of 10k maybe, the SSR's I had did 25k I was impressed.
