Towed a jeep today

Just wanted to say that this morning I came across a disabled V8 grand cherokee that was stopped in a one-lane "onramp" into an elevated bank parking lot. The incline was like 15%. I offered to tow him up into the lot so he wasn't blocking incoming traffic and he said sure but doubted my trucks abillity to tow his rig.

I hooked right on, put it in 4lo and yanked that thing about 150 feet with total ease. Made me feel good about my rig and thankful I dont have a jeep.

in mexico we get the hurricanes from the south just before the monsoon season in AZ. ok since i made that point, during a hurricane here i was helping the fire DPT. clear away the blown down trees that fell into the roads. i told them i can yank the trunks out of the ground with my rope (nylon 2in pulling strap) and they said let us cut it first, told them no need. pulled out the strap, wrapped it around once and hooked up to the bumper, slapped it into 4LO and proceeded to haul the tree to the ditch. ROFL i dont think i will ever see their eyes that big again, a little ole 4cyl runner uprooting a tree. so instead of them cutting up the tree they did it after the hurricane when there was no rain to work in. MAN i love my runner. I would put my trust into toyotas any day of the week. during the same storm my rear window got a mind of its own and started to roll down all by itself after running into a lot of water. i figured the motor got wet. after a few minutes of it rolling down and me putting it back up it stopped. but it was funny..i would get out of the truck to hook up the strap and the window would come down with me watching it from the back and the truck running.
