D&J Rock Products

Anyone used a D&J Rock Products 22RE timing cover? I just bought a timing cover off ebay, and got the "Rock" one instead of the one that was pictured. The one pictured looked nice, but a search of the part number returned no results. The Rock one looks/feels like some weak aluminum/tin alloy. A search suggested that EngnBldr uses them though, and the ebay seller's got a good rep, so it might be alright. ??

Before turning my engine into a guinea pig though, it'd be great to get some feedback from anyone that's used one of these covers.

Thanks in advance!

If it is the same Rock that EB uses, it is good. I have used covers, pistons, and all the standard rebuild parts. I have never had a problem. I always buy from EB, you can't beat the service, or knowledge.

Cool. Thanks for the feedback.

Can anyone confirm that "D&J Rock Products" (rockprod.com) is the same "Rock Products" that EngnBldr uses?

I'd rather not waste his time with a question regarding a product I don't intend to buy from him.

Fellow YotaTech members though; that's a different story.

Got a picture of the box? I've got his timing cover, oil pump, water pump, 261 cam and steel guide timing chain bolted up to my 22RE. Looking at the box would answer the question.

That'd be great. Thank you!

Sorry about the pic quality. The second one says it all about this "U.S.A. Company".
