So I bought a 1984 4X4 Xtra cab cheap. Runs and drives good, frame is in good shape came with a couple of extra trannies and transfer cases (for dual case mod the guy never got to. 4th gear is difficult to engage and jumps out sometimes (syncro?) What's a good trans for this year? I don't want to change from 21 spline b-cause of transfer cases) I'm also thinking of Longfields for it. Is that a worthwhile upgrade? All good ideas welcome. (I'm on a tight budget now but in the near future- who knows)
