I've never had the need or inclination to take mine apart so I can't help you with the exact procedure or tell you what's in there. But when worse comes to worse, back the screw out and take careful note of how many turns it takes.
Also, if you go back to the main forum listing in this section of yotatech, there is a stick post linking to factory service manuals.

I don't know anything about the adjusment screw, but I can help solve your leak problem.
My power steering pump is leaking from the back side seal. I priced new PS pumps...w/o resivoir and their like $140 bucks...BUT...for $14.00, Advanced auto ordered me a PS pump seal rebuild kit. Gives ya all the seals for the job.
Now I just gotta get off my lazy ass, pull the pump out and get into it.
So....if you got the cash to replace the pump...again,go ahead. I strongly suggest,in my opinion,of replacing all the seals.

Just LEarning....what kinda fluid are you using in your box? If you are using power steering fluid that is probably what is creating your leak (especially since you said the box was just replaced in 2006)
Toyota FSM specifies AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID ONLY in your steering system....
