Disc brakes

Is there a factory Toyota with disc brakes? If so, what year, and what model trucks. I want to do a disc brake conversion without spending $1,500 at LCE for it.

thanks guys

You can get the rear brackets from a place like http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/
Calipers and rotors can be aquired from NAPA or some other parts store. You will need to machine the rotors so they fit the Toyota axle.
What will you do for an emergency brake?

There are alot of writeups on this subject...

Only if you have a 4cyl. I have a 3.0V6 and I might have to modify the 4cyl one to work.

kill a few birds with one stone - $669 for the floater conversion + some junkyard time for a few non supplied parts = tough ass rear axle with Toyota disc brakes

I dont need an e-brake, this thing is gunna be more in the realm of barely legal, and its an automatic, so ebrake is over-rated lol.

thanks for the info guys, mostly was looking for a bolt on swap, i.e. swap a newer axle in place of the old one, like the rangers can take the explorer axle and its instant rear disc.

but i may just have to do this instead!
