motor help asap

it will bolt up, but your electronics, fuel pump, etc will be totally different. carb motor = less fuel pressure. EFI - more fuel pressure. not to mention its federally illegal to drop an engine in a vehicle thats older than the vehicle itself. (but i wont tell if you wont.. teehee)

'84 is old style 22R (taller deck height) '85 and newer (laser block) is the same as your '89. The only thing your '89 and '84 share are the crank and rods. The ports on the '84's head are different than your '89's so, not sure if your injection will bolt up or not. Also, I don't think the '84 has a spot for the knock sensor either. To simplify things, you should try to find an '85 or newer motor. Here's some helpful info: http://www.lcengineering.com/technot...97f167802c3221 ------------Hans
