New Project: 85 SR5

Just Picked it up yesterday.

85 SR5 with 167,000 Miles

Going to make it into trail/DD rig

Fixed the hard lines.
New Brake booster/Master.

Downey 3"
Soft 8 Wheels
33-13.50-15 LTB's
4.88's
Aussie In the rear
Marlin Bumpers
Downey Header
LC Cam
Sliders
and Stereo

Looks like excellent starting material. Just a couple of suggestions, I would highly recommend OME over Downey for the suspension and LC Engineering over Downey for the header.

LC Engineering make good cams but you might also look at Engnbldr.com and DOA Racing. All three make excellent products.

I just looked and they say 50 state legal on LC Engineering's website. Look up the header and then click on the installation instructions.

I'm pretty sure LC Engineering and Doug Thorley headers are 50 state compliant.

nice truck, looks bout the same condition as my 4Runner, same color, stripes.
i have the same ambition... DD/ Trail...
Does well with both just stock with 31's
where in Nor*Cal are you at?

I'll have to look that up.

OME Lift looks to be the better option so I think I'll end up going with that.
