thinking about a body lift

I am about to buy some tires from a friend. at the moment i just have 31x10.5x 15's.. i am buying some 33 x 12.5 x 15's. i wasn't aware that I would need more clearance for the tires but he said i would. so i was looking online and saw some body lifts for about $100. either a 2 or 3 inch lift. I want the tires to fit without rubbing so i figure a 2 inch body lift would do, but i got to reading and saw that people had to extend some lines and remount radiators and things like that, sounds like a big hassel. can anyone tell me specificaly what modification will need to be done to put a 2 inch body lift on a 88 4runner. thank you

first off your gonna need a 3" lift minimum in order not to rub. for a 3" body lift you will need to extend the steering shaft, drop the radiator, raise your bumpers, extend your gas fill nozzle. and i think thats it lol. but its not as hard as it sounds, a buddy and i can intall one in about a half day!

Not sure what enatails in a bl for your rig, but mine involved a steering extension and radiator drop bracket.

Do a search for Bodylifts under your forum, you'll find plenty of info

If you buy a good quality kit everything you really need is included.

my performance accessories kit was very straight forward. All drop brackets and extensions were provided. I didn't end up touching my gas filler neck.

I've been running a 4Crawler 2" for a year and a half now. ZERO issues. And my truck's no street queen.

IMHO, 4Crawler's the guy to talk to.
