there is this 1985 4runner. the truck has some rust on the body and frame, one door frame is all rust the interior is all apart so i have to put everything back together. I have to replace the seals on the front solid axle and the motor. The motor starts but it dies right after he says that there is an electric problem with it. he is asking for 1200 do u think thats worth it.

Probably a decent price, you can do a quick check with the fuel pump test jumper:

In my opinion i wouldn`t touch it, it sounds like you will be paying 1200 dollars for someone elses problems. But if you still want to buy it then i wouldn`t pay more than 500 dollars for it.

seeing as i live in canada also i would agree that they are super hard to find in the shape that alot of the american vehicles are. my personal opinion would be to go for it because its an 85(solid front axle is the way to go, in my opinion, if your gonna wheel it) but i would be a little leary of the electrical problem see if he'll take 800 cash.
