I was just curious if anyone knows how to take the mirror apart. I tried searching and googling it with no luck, so please link me if theres another post about this. Mine seems to shake a lot and I'd like to know what to expect when I start pulling things apart (or even where to get started). It's not the entire mirror and housing that shakes, just the mirror glass inside when I hit bumps.

I know it doesn't seem like that big of a deal but I just bought my 4runner yesterday and will be installing my subs within this next week. With how much it's shaking as it is, I know once my subs are installed the thing will probably fall off. lol

Any help is greatly appriciated.

I think he wants to know how to pop the mirror out, so he can secure the linkage.

IIRC, there's a ball and socket, that separates when you pry on the mirror. But, it's intimidating because it's easy to break the mirror.

A vibrating mirror is a major irritation!
