Just put on a set of 32's on my 86 4runner with a 2.4LT Diesel. The stock gears are 4.30's & were OK with my 235/75's but now things are pretty slow in the low end. Gear calculators say that I should go to a 4.88 to get back to stock (which isn't quite where I want to be) & some people say that 5.29 will be too low..... is there a happy medium in between? Will 5.29s be OK? I rarely go over 70 mph but I'm not a rock crawler either.....
