Water in Gas?
Symptoms: Truck runs OK cold, once its warming up (but not warm), it will cut out when you give it gas. I can limp along in 3rd and under not pulling many revs. It also seems to be somewhat intermittent; as often if I pull over and stop It will do fine.
Now, I had a carb icing issue, but its resolved now, I think. Also, when the carb was icing it would both idle bad and would stop running rough if I pushed it to the floor, now it idles good and makes it worse if I push it to the floor.
I replaced the HAI, Plug Wires, Cap, Rotor, Plugs, and fuel filter before. I'm thinking because Its not had over half a tank of fuel since december condensation in the tank may be my issue. I'm planning to drain the filter and dump in a bottle of HEET. Sound like a plan?

Update: I think i got it, fuel filter was clogged up. Shot some compressed air through it and black gas came out. I'll watch it and see what happens, maybe even get a new filter. Never again am I going to fill up at those cheapo stations.

well its still cutting out under heavy throttle. figure I'll put the old filter in (that was OK), run some seafoam through it, then throw a new filter at it. Went to the cheapo station and mentioned it and he said he had heard that a lot and there was nothing he could do. One place that will never get my business again.

Uhh yeah, get some new filters, theres two, one right near the tank and one under the hood.. they are super cheap. Before you bother putting them in pull the gas tank out and drain it, theres drain plug on the bottom of the tank which was very nice of Toyota to put there but your best bet is to drain it, wash it out with a hose and dry it. You should also pull out the fuel pickup.. theres a screen filter on that that will usually either be broken or really clogged, Another thing to do is disconnect the soft lines and blow out the hard lines under the cab with compressed air aswell as the fuel pickup when you pull it out of the tank. Replace the soft lines while your at it.. the black fuel may be from the old lines decomposing. Make sure you use some WD40 or better on the screws on the pickup/sender or you will be drilling out the tiny phillips head screws which are always brittle and rusted on old Yota's and almost impossible to buy. Its a bit of work but definetly worth it, can be done in a day if you have the tools and parts you need before hand.
