got the chance to go out and pick through 3 different 1st gen 4runners today. i ended up coming home with a tail gate that is about 99% rust free and with one slight dent in it with all working internals, two front fenders with slight surface rust on the edges that will get fixed during paint, two tail light lenses, a roll bar pad, and some misc little things. i'm going back in a few weeks after i get paid and nabbing some rust free doors with the little vent windows and manual windows instead of the power i've got now, i prefer manual in the older vehicles. the guy has 3 1st gens, 1 or 2 2nd gens, and probably 6 or 7 other various make/model vehicles he's parting out. once i nab the doors i'll post up and let everyone know who/where he is and you guys can see if he's got what you need. he told me that he sold the solid door windows to a guy in australia for $50 each and shipping cost more than the parts. the aussie said those are very rare down under and was happy to pay for them. i guess i'll have to list on some aussie forums when i get the vent window doors in and make up some money.

gonna put the fenders on tomorrow and the tail gate probably next week. but first i'm going to clean up the metal behind the panels and paint, also paint the inside of the fenders too. the beast is already looking better!
