Toyota newb OEM body lift?
Hello everyone,
I recently got into the 4x world and fell in love with my 88 toyota 4x4 22re I just bought it last december. The previous owner put a bodylift on it, and I would like to put it back to stock height, I know the process is pretty simple, but my question is where do I get stock spacers? I saw poly body mounts, but no spacers. I went to the dealer, and they wanted about 600 for everything. Can I get away with just the spacer or does the whole bushing need to be replaced? how about the bolt? Can I use whats there or does OEM have other stuff?

Thanks for the replies,
I guess its time to find a junkyard out in LA. I have never messed with this type of stuff, is there any where signs on the junkyard parts that I should worry about? I looked for after market new parts, but it seems like all they make are the bushings and not the spacers.

Check out 4crawler.com You want a urethane body mount kit with bolts. Far better than old used rubber mounts, around $100. I just put a prothane set on my 87 yesterday. He even tells you how to do it. Good luck.

See the links below for some information on removing a body lift:

http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...Kit.shtml#Body
As noted above, all you want to do is remove the "Lift Block" and use a shorter bolt, the body mount bushings stay the same, or the rubber OEM bushings can be replaced with polyurethane bushings if desired:
